Last February 20, 2024, Be That Spark Inc. (BTS) visited Regador Elementary School at Regador, Aklan in cooperation with Philippine Association for Intellectual Ability (PAFID) Camp Pag-ibig and Imus Dambalasik Lions Club Project for the Youth with Charms and Wins Inc. Jewelry and Beyond as main sponsor.
The bubbly Grade 3 and 4 students of Regador elementary school and their dynamic teacher Catherine Maquinto welcomed Be That Spark representatives Miss Charmaine and Miss Hannah with a loud cheer and warm smiles. The students enjoyed listening to the Story “Ang Batang Ayaw Magbasa”, an original story written by BTS co-founder Miss Charmaine and Board of Directors Secretary, Miss Hannah that is aimed to promote reading and literacy.
The children received gift packs with toys and school supplies and they also received food packs for salo-salo. Teachers and staff also received the same while mingling and sharing stories with each other. After the activities in the classroom, BTS engaged with fun games with the teachers of Regador Elementary where laughs and cheers resonated the campus.
Education is indeed the key to success of our nation and Be That Spark Foundation is here to help in any way or form, sparking one school at a time.
